Remote Gower

Broughton Burrows to Whiteford Point

The north-west corner of Gower consists of another 3 mile stretch of sand, starting with Broughton Burrows, an area of sand dunes edged with high cliffs. This leads to Broughton Bay, the last haven for holidaymakers with its caravan sites. Beyond that is the long empy beach of Whiteford Sands, a spit of land protruding north into the Loughor Estuary, a remote and rarely visited protected area. In spite of all the sand, there are more caves to be found here.
