Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty

There are four areas of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) within Wales, plus a fifth which shares the border with England. Three of these are coastal areas, one is a range of hills and the other is a river valley.

While none of these areas are as large or as wild as the national parks, they still have excellent scenery to offer, in a much smaller area. All have spectacular scenery and are well worth visiting.
