Lleyn Peninsula
A large peninsula in the northwest of Wales, Lleyn is about
two times the size of Gower. Boasting large sandy beaches on
the southern side, the northern coast is more rugged. Unlike
Gower there are some big hills in the area, a number of them
qualifying as Marilyns. The highest hills are the Yr Eifl
group, often referred to as "The Rivals". At over 500m, these
hills are geologically a westward expansion of the Snowdonia
mountains.
