Age: Pushing 50

Home: Westhoughton, Bolton

Occupation: Police Officer in Manchester and looking forwards to retirement in the next twelve months or so.

Status: Married to June for over a quarter of a whole century. Have just the one off-spring, Avril, who hates walking and is getting married 'Soon, stop mythering Dad.'

Walking Areas: I walk (almost) exclusively in the Lakes and am working my way through the Wainwrights which, but for f&m, would have been done and dusted by now. Lap of honour already well underway.

Interests: Photography, digital camera - currently Nikon Coolpix 995 but changes every twelve months or so - comes with me on every walk, reading (every Tom Clancy release is a major event!), computing and the internet. Season ticket holder at The Reebok Stadium.

Comments: My home web site was established in June 2000 and contains walk descriptions and photographs. The dog in the photos is Megan, a mad Welsh Border Collie that accompanies on most of the walks - she has over 160 W's under her collar. Website: Dave's Lakeland Mountains
